Meet the Host Families
We're currently working with over a dozen host families in Gandoca. Get to know a few of them here as well as get some more information about what to expect for food and accommodations.
Cost of the program is $35/night and includes all meals.
100% of these funds go directly to families in Gandoca.

Accommodations
While the accommodations can be rustic, you'll be quite at home. Families will provide linens and mosquito nets. Most participants end up in their own room with a shared bathroom. We'll do our best to pair you with a family that can meet any special requests you have.
Food
The Caribbean coast is home to the best food in Costa Rica. You'll receive three meals a day from your host family. Often local fish and chicken are part of their diet but they are happy to meet any dietary needs. Getting involved in the kitchen can be another great way to share culture and learn new recipes.
